Project Management
We
appoint an Account Manager for all jobs who will be the main point of
contact for each Client. We pride ourselves on the partnerships we
build with our Clients, project managing their work to enable them to
complete a project at a competitive cost with quality assurance in
accordance with their time schedule. Reasons why our Clients use our
services:

They have no available in-house
equipment or expertise for a particular project

Their in-house equipment or personnel
are required on a more urgent project

The pressure of a deadline creates a
heavy short term workload

They have a product that requires
promotional inserts that creates labour intensive work

Geographically it is more economical to
have all components sent from different suppliers to us to be
assembled

All
projects have a quality work sheet that gives all the information
required by the packing team to finish the product in accordance with
the Client’s standards – all team members are fully briefed prior to
commencing work.
Quality Checks
Quality checks are carried out at regular intervals during production in
accordance with the Client’s standards – should any discrepancies arise
we contact our Client immediately to discuss what action is required.
Clients who would normally send their own QC on site have used our
quality checks. We can take digital photographs of work and e-mail them
direct to our Clients.
Problem Solving
Should a problem arise during production we will suggest ideas to
improve work and where necessary suggest changes in specification to
meet quality standards.
Flexibility
We
adapt to our Client’s needs. A Client recently asked us to have an
environmental health check on our premises to enable us to meet her
fulfilment needs to pack wrapped confectionary. These checks were
carried out and we are now able to proceed with the packaging of wrapped
confectionary products – we also took the further step of putting our
Extra staff through their foundation certificate in food hygiene. We
are able to increase our manpower on site to meet demand or even place a
team on the Client’s site to meet their production deadlines.
Communication – “We
don’t fear : we appear”
From
the receipt of verbal/faxed/e-mailed instructions we communicate
regularly with our Clients, agreeing start dates, late delivery of
stock, stock damages, deadlines to be met, etc. We keep Clients fully
informed of progress during production and postproduction is followed by
an after service follow up.
Receipt & Dispatch
of Goods
All
incoming stock is checked upon delivery for shortages and damages and a
WIPs (work in progress) pallet card is issued – the Client is then
contacted to update them on what has been received and report any
findings from the checks. All outgoing stock is checked off and a
delivery note is issued and signed prior to dispatch. All pallets are
marked up with a pallet label stating description and quantity and any
other special instructions in accordance with the Client’s wishes.
Storage
We
have the capacity on site to store 100+ pallets and with the added
benefit of Off Site Storage we are able to store a vast amount of stock
for pick and pack projects and other contract packaging needs. We have
even used other secure warehouse facilities to increase size for a
period of time adding extra team members to production to meet required
deadlines.
Transport
We
have our own transport for small deliveries and the added benefit of our
Sister Company Derby Express Couriers, part of the Nationwide APC Group,
next door for worldwide deliveries.
